1. ‘Master and Commander: The far side of the world, is set in the time of 1805, it is a historical movie based on a war at sea. This movie is an Action and Adventure movie. Most action and adventure movies have a heroic antagonist and in this case it is the captain on the ship who is called Jack. Suspense is created when looking through the telescope when he is searching for the enemy’s ship. People who are watching this may feel anxious and maybe a bit scared because it feels like something is about to jump out at them. Another Action and Adventure convention is Combat and conflict, The enemies fire canons and there are big explosions going off. This gives the ship a hectic crazy atmosphere as everyone is trying to protect themselves and trying to survive. This therefore proves that the genre of this movie as action and adventure as there is a lot of violence and war.
